The Maybach: Mechanic
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for mechanical repairs or maintenance on the Maybach we arrange a trusted shop. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.
Details the shop needs
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
Who does what
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Good habits for your car
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
What to ask
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
Make a request
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
