The Ram: Mechanic
Need mechanical repairs or maintenance for the Ram? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. Regular maintenance keeps small problems from turning into large ones.
Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
Who does what
We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. You approve the shop's quote before any work. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
Driving while yours is at the shop
The rental is priced like any other on our site. A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Good habits for your car
Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
Before the shop starts
Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
One more step
Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
