Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
What CarmaCars does here
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We keep you posted until the car is booked in.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
Car care, briefly
Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
Talk to a person
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
