Mechanic: how we help
For mechanical repairs or maintenance on the Sterling, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.
Details the shop needs
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
How the request works
The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. The rental is priced like any other on our site. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
Small things that help
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Ready to ask?
A short request starts it: the car, the problem, and when suits you.
