The STI: Mechanic
Your STI needs mechanical repairs or maintenance? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Tell us what the car is doing, and we find a shop suited to the job.
Details the shop needs
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
How the request works
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Car care, briefly
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
What to ask
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Get an offer
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request mechanic
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
