Mechanic: how we help

For mechanical repairs or maintenance on your Subaru Forester, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Routine maintenance and repairs are done by a mechanic at a shop we trust, not by CarmaCars.

Your Forester and the shop

Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.

How we help

We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.

A car meanwhile

Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.

Small things that help

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.

When you know your dates

Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.

Request mechanic

Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.

Rent a car while yours is in in Toronto
