The numbers in plain words

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

A combined rating of 8.6 L/100 km works out to about 26 litres per 300 km. That works out to about $15.05 per 100 km at our price setting.

How big it is

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who rents the A4

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Can I rent it?

Your booking, in three steps

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Rules for renters

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

When you know your dates

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
