Specs, explained

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated 7.9 L/100 km combined: about 24 litres every 300 km. That works out to about $13.83 per 100 km at our price setting.

Space, size and seats

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The length is 4.76 m. Check the size of a tight parking spot. The EPA lists 368 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

How a booking comes together

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

What to have ready

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
