Minivan rental: the 2020 Audi A4 Technik

Want the 2020 Audi A4 Technik as a van or a seven-seat car? Start here: the car in plain words, then how booking works. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

Java and the A4

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

Under the hood

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Its combined rating is 7.9 L/100 km, which means roughly 24 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $13.83 per 100 km at our price setting.

Size and space

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. It is 4.76 m from end to end. Check the size of a tight parking spot. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Getting this car from us

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

What happens when you ask for a car

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Who can rent

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
