Minivan rental: 2021 Ford Escape S in Ruby

Minivan rental: the 2021 Ford Escape S

This page joins two things: minivan rental, and the 2021 Ford Escape S in plain words. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

The Escape and Ruby

Ruby is about 2,375 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Ruby.

If you are near Ruby, Irwin, Floresta and Crested Butte are close too.

What the figures tell you

The 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo does the work, through an 8-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

The EPA rates it at 7.8 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 23 litres. A 300 km weekend costs about $36.27 in energy at our price setting.

Good uses for the Escape

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

What the Escape is like

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Renting this car

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates.

Booking with CarmaCars

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Before you rent

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

When you know your dates

Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.
