Minivan rental with this car

Want to know if the 2025 Ford Explorer Timberline suits a van or a seven-seat car? Read on. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

A note on Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away.

Close by are Selby, Lowry and Sitka, each with its own page.

The numbers in plain words

The engine is the 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo, with rear-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 30 litres, from its 10.0 L/100 km rating. At our price setting, it costs about $15.50 to drive 100 km.

A good match for

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

The Explorer in everyday use

The higher seat of a full-size SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Getting one from us

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

The rules, briefly

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

Booking made plain

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
