Renting: the basics

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

The steps

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
