What the specs mean

The powertrain here is the 5.7L 8-cylinder with rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 41 litres, from its 13.6 L/100 km rating. In money, 1,000 km costs about $210.80 at our price setting.

Practical details

Being a pickup truck, it trades parking ease for a cargo bed.

Good uses for the 1500

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits moving day, renovation runs and anything that needs an open bed.

Getting one from us

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What we need from you

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

What to expect when you book

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
