The RUF: Oil change
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For an oil change on the RUF, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. The right oil grade for your engine is in the owner's manual.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
How the request works
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Between shop visits
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Your move
Need the work and a rental? One request covers both.
Request oil change
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
