Your Shadow and paint correction
CarmaCars takes requests for paint correction on the 1987 Chrysler Shadow, and rents you a car while yours is in. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint.
The car itself
Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos.
Booking the work
A person reads your request and replies with the next step. We confirm the price and the time with you before any work. If the job turns out larger, we ask you before doing more.
A car while yours is in
Keep driving while it is detailed: we deliver a rental and collect it when yours is ready. Add a rental to your request, and we deliver it to you. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
When the car is ready
Collect the car when it is ready, or ask us to arrange the handover. Weather and curing times can change the schedule for some work.
Before you drop the car off
Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Arrive at the time we confirm, so the work can start on schedule. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together.
Looking after it afterwards
Hand washing is gentler than automatic brushes on any finish. Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels.
What goes into a quote
Ask what is included, so you can compare quotes fairly. Options such as sensors, trim pieces or special paint can add time. If you only need part of the work, say so and we quote that part.
Ready when you are
A quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
