Paint correction: the 1985 Dodge Ram Van
Searching for paint correction for the 1985 Dodge Ram Van? Here is how CarmaCars handles it. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint.
Size and finish
Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. A car of this size is quick to work on compared with a large SUV.
How to request it
Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off. Nothing is booked until you agree to the price and the time. Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price.
A car while yours is in
We collect the rental when your car is ready. Add a rental to the same request as the work. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
A few things first
If you need a rental, add it to the request so it is ready when you arrive. Child seats can be taken out so the seats under them get cleaned. Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day.
How long you are without it
Waiting on parts is the most common reason a repair takes longer. If the car must stay overnight, we tell you before it comes in.
Looking after it afterwards
Park out of direct sun when you can to protect paint and interior. Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels.
What affects the price
Simple jobs cost less; we tell you if a smaller job would do. The size of the car matters: an SUV or a van has more surface than a compact car. A quote lists what is included, so you can compare it fairly.
