The Mercury Cougar for paint correction
- Body: compact cars (EPA size class).
The work on your Cougar
Your Mercury Cougar and paint correction: what to send us, what it involves, and a car to drive meanwhile. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint.
Your Cougar, up close
As a compact car, it is a straightforward size for this work. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. A car of this size is quick to work on compared with a large SUV.
How to request it
Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. A person reads your request and replies with the next step. Nothing is booked until you agree to the price and the time.
A rental while we work
Add a rental to your request, and we deliver it to you. We collect the rental when your car is ready. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
When the car is ready
Weather and curing times can change the schedule for some work. If the work runs longer than planned, we let you know and you can keep the rental.
Getting the car ready
Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to.
What goes into a quote
Two cars of the same model can need different work, so we quote each one. The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail. If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price.
Aftercare
Look over the work in daylight when you collect the car. Keep the invoice with your records; it helps when you sell the car.
Your move
A short request is all it takes to get a price for your car.
