| Campaign | Date | Component | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 83V117000 | 1983-11-09 | fuel system, gasoline:fuel injection system | THE FUEL PUMP MAY STOP FUNCTIONING WITHOUT WARNING. THIS CAN OCCUR BECAUSE AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IN THE FUSE PANEL MAY OVERHEAT AND INTERRUPT THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT. |
| 81V039000 | 1981-03-24 | structure:frame and members | REAR BUMPER SYSTEM ON CERTAIN VEHICLES MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY WELDED DURING ASSEMBLY. IN THE EVENT OF A REAR END COLLISION, THE RIGHT SIDE BUMPER SUPPORTOR COULD BREAK LOOSE, DAMAGE THE FUEL TANK AND ALLOW FUEL TO LEAK. |

Your 1981 Audi 4000: the work
Searching for paint touch up for the 1981 Audi 4000? Here is how CarmaCars handles it. Light scratches can be polished out; deeper ones are filled and repainted. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
Your 4000, up close
As a small car, it is a straightforward size for this work. Premium cars often have more trim and sensors to work around; mention any options in your request. There are 3 NHTSA recall campaigns on file for it; a dealer can check by the VIN.
The request
Nothing is booked until you agree to the price and the time. Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off.
Keep driving meanwhile
A rental by the day covers the time your car is in. We bring the rental to you and collect it later. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Keeping it that way
New paint needs time to harden fully; ask us when it is safe to wash and wax. Look over the work in daylight when you collect the car.
How long it takes
Bigger jobs are booked in a few days ahead; small ones can often be fitted in sooner. Coatings and paint need time to cure, which is part of the schedule.
What goes into a quote
The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail. The size of the car matters: an SUV or a van has more surface than a compact car. We price the job before we start, never after.
A few things first
Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Photos of the damage taken at the scene help with the repair and the claim. Ask any question you have before the work starts.
One more step
Send a request with a few photos, and we reply with a price.
Request paint touch up
Tell us when suits you; we reply within one business day with a time and a price.
