Your 1990 GMC DS: the work
Paint touch up for the 1990 GMC DS: tell us about the car, and a person replies with a price and a time. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car. Light scratches can be polished out; deeper ones are filled and repainted.
Size and finish
Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. A car of this size is quick to work on compared with a large SUV. NHTSA lists no recall campaign for this model year.
What happens after you ask
If the job turns out larger, we ask you before doing more. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off. You can add a rental to the same request.
Need a car meanwhile?
Your rental can be waiting when you drop your car off. Rent the size of car you need for the days the work takes. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Pricing, plainly
The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer. The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail. Options such as sensors, trim pieces or special paint can add time.
Looking after it afterwards
Regular washes in winter help keep road salt from attacking the paint. Park out of direct sun when you can to protect paint and interior.
A few things first
Bring the claim number and your adjuster's details if the repair is a claim. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one.
When the car is ready
We call or write when the car is ready, and you collect it or we arrange the handover. Tell us the date you need the car back, and we say whether it is realistic.
