Your WHEB and scratch repair
This page covers scratch repair for the 1985 GMC WHEB, and a rental while the car is with us. Light scratches can be polished out; deeper ones are filled and repainted. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
The car itself
If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. As a car, it is a straightforward size for this work. NHTSA lists no recall campaign for this model year.
What happens after you ask
A person reads your request and replies with the next step. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off. Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price.
A rental meanwhile
A rental by the day keeps you moving while your car is in. Add a rental to the same request as the work. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
After the work
Park out of direct sun when you can to protect paint and interior. Regular washes in winter help keep road salt from attacking the paint.
How long it takes
Bigger jobs are booked in a few days ahead; small ones can often be fitted in sooner. If you need the car back by a date, say so and we plan for it.
On the day
Ask any question you have before the work starts. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one.
What goes into a quote
If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price. A quote lists what is included, so you can compare it fairly. Paint colours with pearl or metallic finishes can take more work to match.
Over to you
Book the work and a rental in one request.
