Paint touch up: your Sable
This page covers scratch repair for the 1997 Mercury Sable, and a rental while the car is with us. Light scratches can be polished out; deeper ones are filled and repainted. Paint work is matched to the original colour, panel by panel or the whole car.
Size and finish
If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. NHTSA lists 3 recall campaigns for this model; a repair visit is a good moment to ask whether each was done.
What to send us
A person reads your request and replies with the next step. You can add a rental to the same request. Ask anything about the work in the request.
A rental while we work
A rental by the day covers the time your car is in. We bring the rental to you and collect it later. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
On the day
Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day. Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work. Bring the claim number and your adjuster's details if the repair is a claim.
Looking after it afterwards
Keep a soft cloth in the car for small marks. Ask us when the next visit would make sense for your car.
What goes into a quote
Paint colours with pearl or metallic finishes can take more work to match. If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price. Larger vehicles take more product and more hours, so they cost more.
Planning around the work
We keep you posted if the timing changes. Weather and curing times can change the schedule for some work.
