Rent a car while yours is detailed
Keep driving while your car is in: we deliver a rental to you and collect it when yours is ready.
Your DK and paint correction
CarmaCars takes requests for paint correction on the 1985 GMC DK, and rents you a car while yours is in. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint.
The car itself
If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. As a car, it is a straightforward size for this work.
From request to appointment
Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. We reply within one business day with a time and a price.
Keep driving meanwhile
Keep driving while it is detailed: we deliver a rental and collect it when yours is ready. Rent by the day while your car is in, delivered to you. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
How the price is set
Older paint or heavy wear can mean more preparation before the main work. The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer. Ask what is included, so you can compare quotes fairly.
How long it takes
Waiting on parts is the most common reason a repair takes longer. Most small jobs fit within a day; larger ones are booked over several days.
Before you drop the car off
Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to.
Aftercare
Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels. Hand washing is gentler than automatic brushes on any finish.
