The Mercury: Polishing
CarmaCars takes requests for paint correction on the Mercury, and rents you a car while yours is in. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim.
What your car means for the work
Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos.
What to send us
We reply within one business day with a time and a price. Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. Nothing is booked until you agree to the price and the time.
Need a car meanwhile?
Add a rental to the same request as the work. A rental means the work does not stop your week. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
How long you are without it
Most small jobs fit within a day; larger ones are booked over several days. We call or write when the car is ready, and you collect it or we arrange the handover.
What goes into a quote
The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer. The size of the car matters: an SUV or a van has more surface than a compact car. The same job can take more time on a car with more trim or detail.
What to bring
Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached.
Keeping it that way
If anything about the work looks wrong after you collect the car, tell us. Park out of direct sun when you can to protect paint and interior.
