The Yugo: Polishing
CarmaCars takes requests for paint correction on the Yugo, and rents you a car while yours is in. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint.
The car itself
We note the car's condition with you when it comes in. Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately.
Getting a price
Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. You can add a rental to the same request. Your quote is for your car, not a general price list.
A rental while we work
A rental by the day covers the time your car is in. Rent by the day while your car is in, delivered to you. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
When the car is ready
Book a little ahead for larger jobs; small ones can be quicker to schedule. We call or write when the car is ready, and you collect it or we arrange the handover.
Why prices differ
Older paint or heavy wear can mean more preparation before the main work. We explain the price in plain words if anything is unclear. Options such as sensors, trim pieces or special paint can add time.
What to bring
Take valuables and personal items out of the car before the work. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together. Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached.
Aftercare
Ask us how to care for the work when you collect the car. Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels.
Ready when you are
