Devon and the A4

Casmalia, Shuman and Antonio are the neighbouring places on our list.

Engine and fuel

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

A combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km works out to about 25 litres per 300 km. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $128.70.

How big it is

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

Getting one from us

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.

The rules, briefly

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

From request to keys

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.

Next step

A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.
