The A4 and Java

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 442 km from Java, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

Next door to Java are Frankfort, Sharples and Raab Corners.

The figures, translated

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with a 7-speed automatic, drives it. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 24 litres, from its 7.9 L/100 km rating. That works out to about $13.83 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who rents the A4

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Room inside

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. It is 4.76 m from end to end. Check the size of a tight parking spot. The EPA lists 368 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

The booking steps

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Checking your details

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
