The 2016 MINI Cooper: RideAlike alternative
The 2016 MINI Cooper for a rental car: the facts first, then the booking. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
The numbers in plain words
The powertrain here is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
At 7.5 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 23 litres of fuel. In money, 1,000 km costs about $131.30 at our price setting.
Size and space
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. EPA lists 255 litres of luggage space, enough for about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Best uses
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.
In our fleet
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
The rules, briefly
An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.
Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
How booking works
You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Next step
Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.
