The BYD: Safety certificate
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a safety certificate on the BYD, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. Only a licensed inspection station can issue a Safety Standards Certificate in Ontario.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
What we arrange
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
A car meanwhile
We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Car care, briefly
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history.
One more step
Start with a short request; a person replies within one business day.
Request safety certificate
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
