Getting a clear quote
Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
Good habits for your car
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
