Safety certificate for the Tecstar, LP
For a safety certificate on the Tecstar, LP, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. A used car you buy in Ontario needs a Safety Standards Certificate before it can be plated.
Details the shop needs
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
What to send us
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
What to ask
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Small things that help
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
Questions first?
A short request starts it: the car, the problem, and when suits you.
Request safety certificate
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
