Safety certificate: how we help

For a safety certificate on the 2016 Toyota Corolla LE, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. A used car you buy in Ontario needs a Safety Standards Certificate before it can be plated.

Your car, your notes

Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The engine is the 1.8L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT).

From request to repair

We keep you posted until the car is booked in. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.

What to ask

Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.

Car care, briefly

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
