Farmbrook and the A4

Reading the spec sheet

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with all-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Its combined rating is 8.6 L/100 km, which means roughly 26 litres for 300 km. Every 100 km costs about $15.05 in fuel at our price setting.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

What the A4 is like

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Who can rent

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Booking in plain terms

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
