Specs, explained

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, paired with a 7-speed automatic, drives it. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.3 L/100 km combined rating. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

Size and space

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Is it right for your trip?

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.

Driver requirements

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How a booking comes together

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
