SUV rental: VPG

Renting the VPG

If you need an SUV, read about the VPG here, then request it. Winter tires are an add-on on the SUVs that offer them.

Specs, explained

No fuel-use rating is published for this model year, so we leave those figures out.

A good match for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting it

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. We have no VPG on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

What we need from you

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Requesting a car

You request the car online with your dates, and nothing is charged to send it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
