The Chrysler: Tire change
For tire work on the Chrysler, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. Tread depth matters for grip in rain and snow; the shop measures it.
Your car, your notes
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
Who does what
You approve the shop's quote before any work. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
Keep moving meanwhile
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Good habits for your car
Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
