The Renault: Tire change
For tire work on the Renault, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. Tread depth matters for grip in rain and snow; the shop measures it.
Your car, your notes
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
The steps
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
Your rental while you wait
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Talking to the shop
If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Small things that help
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
One more step
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
Request tire change
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
