Tire shop: how we help
For tire work on the 2012 BMW Active E, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. Tread depth matters for grip in rain and snow; the shop measures it.
About your Active E
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Active E. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
Who does what
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work. We keep you posted until the car is booked in.
A car meanwhile
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Small things that help
Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Talk to a person
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request tire shop
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
