CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a tow on the BMW X5 we arrange a trusted shop. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.
Before the shop sees your X5
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the X5. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
Our part and the shop's part
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
Driving while yours is at the shop
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
Between shop visits
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
Talking to the shop
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
