Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
Keep moving meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We collect the rental when your car is back. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
What to ask
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Small things that help
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
