Arranging the work for the ACL
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a tow on the GMC ACL we arrange a trusted shop. If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.
About your ACL
Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the ACL. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
How the request works
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
Your rental while you wait
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
Between shop visits
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
