Before the shop sees your CACL
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop.
How the arrangement works
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Small things that help
Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
A short checklist
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
