The GMC CWG: Towing
CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a tow on the GMC CWG, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.
Before the shop sees your CWG
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
Our part and the shop's part
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You approve the shop's quote before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
Keep moving meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
Car care, briefly
Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
