The GMC EV1: Towing
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a tow on the GMC EV1 we arrange a trusted shop. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.
Before the shop sees your EV1
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
How we help
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
A car while yours is in the shop
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Car care, briefly
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.
