Arranging the work for the FE
Need a tow for the 1990 GMC FE? We arrange it with a trusted shop; the work is never done by CarmaCars. If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.
Your FE and the shop
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare.
What CarmaCars does here
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
A rental while you wait
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Between shop visits
If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
What to ask
Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Questions first?
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request towing
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
