Arranging the work for the Value Van
For a tow on the 1989 GMC Value Van, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.
Your car, your notes
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Value Van. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
The steps
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. You agree everything with the shop before work begins.
Stay on the road
The rental is priced like any other on our site. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Talking to the shop
Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
Good habits for your car
Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
Let us know
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request towing
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
