Arranging the work for the WHEB
For a tow on the 1989 GMC WHEB, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.
Before the shop sees your WHEB
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your WHEB, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
From request to repair
Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
A car meanwhile
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
Small things that help
Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
Talking to the shop
Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
Ready when you are
Need the work and a rental? One request covers both.
Request towing
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
