Arranging the work for the Commander
Your 2008 Jeep Commander needs a tow? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Tell us where the car is, where it should go, and whether the keys are with it.
Before the shop sees your Commander
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The engine is the 3.7L 6-cylinder, with all-wheel drive and a 5-speed automatic.
How the arrangement works
Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
A car while yours is in the shop
We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Small things that help
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
Make a request
A short request starts it: the car, the problem, and when suits you.
Request towing
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
