Driver basics

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
