Turo alternative and the Dacia
Searching for Turo alternative? Here is the Dacia: what it is like and how to rent it. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
What the specs mean
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Who it is for
It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
Getting this car from us
Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have no Dacia on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
Renting: the basics
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.
If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
The steps
Pick your car, enter your dates and send the request. That is all you do at first, and it is free. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Book one day, one week, or up to 365 days at once. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Turo alternative: the Dacia
Can I rent a Dacia in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
