Turo alternative with this car
Renting the 1981 Dodge D50 as a rental car works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.
Specs, explained
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
Inside and out
As a car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.
Renting it
Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
How to book
Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.
Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
Requirements
Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.
If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
Send a request
A request takes a few minutes and puts a real offer in front of you.

Can I rent a 1981 Dodge D50 in Toronto?
Not from our fleet right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile 6 similar cars are available below.
How old do I need to be to rent?
18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers aged 18 to 20 pay a young driver fee of $35 a day, and 21 to 25 pay $20 a day.
How much is the deposit?
Between $500 and $5,000, depending on the car. It is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book, and the balance is released within 7 business days after you return the car.
What coverage do I need?
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer by car and driver age. At $2,500 or more we claim on our fleet policy and you pay the $2,500 deductible.
Can the car be delivered?
Yes, anywhere, including Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Delivery starts at $75 plus the distance from our location, priced in your offer. Collecting the car yourself is free.
